A.K.A. How I made my whole family cry ... a lot.
For my Grandmother's 80th Birthday, I was challenged with the task of putting together a slideshow to illustrate her life. Being the meticulous artist I am, I couldn't just throw together a standard powerpoint and call it a day. Needless to say I shot myself in the foot, and attempted to do the whole thing in after effects with a ridiculous deadline looming over my head. That's how I roll. And for my grandmother, I never thought twice about it. Watch the video after the jump.
I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I had the chance to play it in front of family, friends, and of course my 80 year old grandmother. And it was a major success! Leaving the audience asking, "how did you do that?" never felt so good.
Given, it was an easy crowd. And people from that era are generally in awe of anything having to do with technology. But hey, everyone was in tears so it was a pretty impressive feat. In retrospect I never thought I would hear myself say, "It felt good seeing my whole family in tears," but it did. Call me a monster.
